Planning an event? Whether it's an intimate dinner for eight or a cocktail reception for 60, the bookshop at Muse is a sophisticated and flexible space for a unique special occasion.

We've hosted everything from weddings to poetry slams, corporate mixers to birthday degustations, and we can't wait to find out what you've got planned!

We can cater for vegans, vegetarians. pescatarians and most other contemporary dietary needs. So if you're looking for somewhere to host an event with a difference, get in touch by completing the form below and we'll work with you to put together a package to suit your requirements and budget.

We can accommodate a maximum of 30 guests for a sit-down event, or 60 guests for a standing / cocktail style event.

Muse is available in the evening for special events and private hire only. Please note that minimum spends apply depending on duration and day of the week.

Short Events START from 4pm END by 7pm Saturday $1,000

PRIVATE HIRE Booking Terms and Conditions

  1. Payment in full is required at the conclusion of your event. Accounts will not be sent unless by prior arrangement.

  2. We will confirm final numbers at least 48 hours in advance of your booking.

  3. Unfortunately experience has shown us that we require credit card details to secure the reservation. These can be provided via email or over the phone. We do not process any fees, but we do require appropriate notice of a reduction in numbers or cancellation, to avoid cancellation charges. We will require:

    • Credit card number

    • Expiry Date

    • CVV

  4. Cancellation fees:

    • 20% of the minimum spend amount will be charged to the credit card provided if you cancel your booking within 72 hours of your booking time;

    • 50% of the minimum spend amount will be charged if you cancel within 48 hours;

    • the full minimum spend amount will be charged if you cancel within 24 hours of your event;

    • A no-show fee of 50% of the per person menu price will be added to the final bill to cover food costs if there is a reduction in numbers within 24 hours of your reservation, or if fewer than the final confirmed number attend on the day, including for those unable to attend due to illness.

  5. We accept payment via cash, EFTPOS, MasterCard, Visa, American Express. We do not apply any card surcharges. Split bills possible.

  6. Please note: your booking is not confirmed until we have received a deposit / credit card details.
