Greg Gallagher owns and manages his family winery, Gallagher Wines at Jeir near Murrumbateman, but also acts as both winemaker and consultant for over twelve other wineries in the region and neighbouring areas.
At Gallagher Wines, wines are made to the highest quality for genuine wine lovers to enjoy. Most recently Greg’s 2017 Riesling was awarded four trophies at the International Riesling Challenge including ‘Best Riesling - Internationally’.
The philosophy of winemaking at Gallagher Wines is to ensure all wines are made around a ‘core’ of fruit flavour at the heart of every wine. Aromas give the first indication of flavour, showcasing the richness and vibrancy of the fruit. The palate is balanced with complex and persistent flavours enhancing and complementing the flavour. The overall enjoyment of good wine is the combination, in a seamless whole, of aroma, flavour and texture that is satisfying, balanced and built around the flavours of the premium fruit.
We’ve six of Greg’s wines to slurp and swirl through, expertly paired with a creative, sophisticated menu created by head kitchen wizard Steven Sweeney.
